Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year at Pebblebrook High School! I am delighted to have your son/daughter in my classroom this year and look forward to sharing the school year with him/her. As the teacher, I will endeavor to create a partnership with you and your student that will foster determination, pride and enthusiasm. I am committed to providing support and encouragement for your student in a challenging environment that will ensure success this year in Audio/Video Technology Film I.
In this program we will explore the Television Production industry. Students will acquire: pre-production skills such as scriptwriting and storyboarding; technical video production skills such as camera operation, audio production, and lighting techniques; and post-production editing skills. Students will be required to produce several video projects. The program will also promote critical thinking, collaboration, problem-solving, written and oral communication, research and time management skills.
Finally, I want you to know that one of my most important goals this year is to keep the lines of communication open with you.
